Political activists and social justice pundits regularly use “outcomes” to promote and justify their positions and actions. These activists cite government published data, newspaper articles, and quotes from “experts” to claim the “outcome” demonstrates their position. But these activists fail to report the total picture and more significantly the major dynamics behind these “outcomes.”
Often, the “outcome” cited is referring to a particular group of people usually by race and/or gender. Black people as a group are used most often. Activists cite an “outcome” like average income per household showing Black family income on average to be below the income of white families. To the racial activist, the data clearly shows racial oppression, almost always placing the “blame” on whites. Income is affected by many factors especially education and family structure. Black families in NC are 76% single-parent households. Single wage earner as well. White families are 24% single parent, meaning white families often have (50% to 76%) dual incomes. This explains the disparity in “outcomes.” It is not oppression from the whites. The Black marriage rate has significantly declined over the last 30-40 years. See chart above. Compared to whites, the Black marriage rate is almost half.
Life in the United States is disturbing. There is madness everywhere. Here are some troubling news events:
-China leader Xi Jinping is traveling to Russia to show support for Putin. This is perhaps the most dangerous alliance in 80+ years (WW11).
–French government raised retirement age from 62 to 64. The French citizens consider this an outrage. Deadly riots are occurring everywhere. The French economy is in a slump growing at 1% over the last 9 months. The French government had budget deficits for each of the last 50 years. Its debt ratio is 119% of GDP!
–I did not watch the Oscars, too many rich people complaining about oppression. Blacks are also complaining because they did not win. Black actor, Djimon Hounsou, net worth $8-$12 million is unhappy about his pay.
–VP Harris got booed at the NCAA Tournament watching her alma mater, Howard, lose in the first round. Her husband will blame “toxic masculinity” whatever the hell that means. UNC did not make the tournament. New coach.
–A $32 million US. drone was shot down by Russia while flying over international waters. This is a matter of respect for our country.
–Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft pledged $5 billion toward racial equity since the riots of 2020. But the current business environment has caused these companies to fire employees. Amazon 18,000 employees, Facebook 10,000, Google 12,000, Microsoft 10,000. Apple is getting ready to announce layoffs.
-California is pursuing “slave reparations” with payments as high as $5 million per person. California was not a slave state and slavery ended 150 years ago. Blacks in that state have already received billions in social welfare programs. There is no race or group of people in the history of the world that has received more government/private $$$$’s than the Blacks in America. And, at least 15 countries in Africa sold their people as slaves to countries like Portugal, Spain, UK, and France.
–Some NC sheriffs are not cooperating with ICE. These sheriffs do not hold a prisoner arrested for a crime that cannot prove US. citizenship. Guess they are released back into our communities. Being in the US. illegally is a crime.
Charlotte area schools reported 1,531 acts of violence committed on school property last school year, an average of 9 assaults per school day! This is a 50% increase over the last 3 years. During my K-12 school years, I never witnessed an act of violence.
Lastly, I read a story about a 72-year-old-man that took out a student loan for $5,250 in 1977. That was 46 years ago, and he is still paying on the loan. Over 46 years, his loan payment would be $5,250/46 = $114 per year or $9.50 per month. Guess repaying the loan was not his priority. Half of the current student debt is for med and law schools.
Another ridiculous welfare scheme. Price tag $650 billion.
The Democrats are proposing another welfare scheme, “Baby Bonds.” Under this scheme, newborn babies would receive $1000 at birth and every year after until age 18. Babies born to low-income families could receive $2000 each year!
At age 18 the child could have $46,215 in the account. See chart above. Babies born to illegal immigrants would qualify. Baby Bonds might encourage low-income families to have more children, and to save less. Sad but true.
The progressive left wants to “narrow” the wealth gap by “giving” low-income children $46K. Allegedly, the $$$$’s must be spent on education, starting a business or buying a house. Clever!
There is a wealth gap between whites and blacks. Whites typically live in 2 income families, have better education, save, and invest their money. Blacks’ income is lower per household. There is not a wealth gap between Asians and whites.
Blacks need to embrace child education starting at age 3-4 and continuing through college or trade school. It is unacceptable to have poor performing schools in Black neighborhoods, especially in large cities. Use federal $$$’s to fix that problem. Start in Baltimore, that city has 112 poor performing schools which is 75% of the schools in the city. Disgraceful. And, that city has been run by Democrats for decades.
Education=Employment=income=wealth! There is no other way.
“Baby Bonds” would cost the taxpayers $650 billion in the first 10 years. “Free stuff never works.” A behavior and culture change are what is needed.
Murder suspect Willie Devon James is missing. He was scheduled for trial this week in Charlotte. He is accused of first-degree murder. The murder occurred in February 2018.
Foolishly, James was placed on bond in June 2018 and ordered to wear an ankle monitor. This week, James cut off the monitor and remains at large.
The Charlotte Police report that one fourth of defendants wearing monitors commit another crime while wearing the devices and 127 suspects cut off their devices in 2019.
Social justice and court reform groups have pressured the legal system for more lenient treatment of criminals. Murder suspects being released wearing ankle monitors is madness, and a danger to the community.

Biden, Harris, Yellen and Attorney General Garland all visited the Ukraine.
Vanguard Investments reported the average 401K in America dropped 20% in 2022. Inflation (40 year high) and higher interest rates were the primary factors.
US. household debt reached a 20 year high in the fourth quarter 2022. Credit card debt rose by $61 billion, the largest increase in 24 years. The total credit card debt is a record of $927 billion.
Major colleges are dropping merit as selection criterion. MIT went down that path 3 years ago but changed back to SAT’s and high school records.
College loan cancellation is a terrible idea, and the Supreme Court will rule Biden does not have the authority. Half of the total student debt is for med and law school. Think about that.
Blacks represent about 19% of the US. population and commit 45% of the violent crime according to annual data published by the FBI. This data is skewed because “no bail” laws allow the same person to commit multiple crimes in 1 year.
NC is passing a new law that increases penalties for persons engaged in violent riots. Throwing a gas filled beer bottle at a police car or building is a violent crime.
Lori Lightfoot lost her mayoral re-election in Chicago. Smart decision by voters. Crime rates in the city were the issue. Last year Chicago had 695 homicides, mostly Black victims. Chicago also has 90+ schools that are rated “poor performing.” Black children deserve much better.
Some employers and colleges are asking applicants to submit “Diversity Contribution Statements” as part of the acceptance process. The problem with “Diversity” is that it reduces the role of merit.
The Carolina Panthers have hired 20 coaches, including Pass Game Coordinator, Assistant Special Teams coach, 3 coaches for the DB’s, and a Senior Assistant. With a 53-man roster, each “coach” will have 2.6 men to coach. Haha!
Fentanyl is a highly potent, synthetic opioid 50-100 times stronger than morphine. A lethal dose of fentanyl is 2 milligrams. For comparison, a yellow packet of Splenda contains 1 gram. So, if that packet was fentanyl, there would be 500 lethal doses in one yellow packet.

Deaths in 2022 were higher than 2021, about 110,00! Biden took office in January 2021 and in his first week opened the southern border. China and the drug cartels moved fentanyl into the US. We know the DEA has confiscated a record amount of fentanyl coming across the border over the last 2 years.
To target children, the cartels are coloring fentanyl using bright colors to look like candy. That product is called “Rainbow Fentanyl.” During Halloween last year the DEA and the FDA issued warnings about this illegal drug. It does look like candy!
And yet, Biden is not declaring war against the fentanyl smugglers and not closing our southern border. Madness.
Leftist President, Pedro Castillo, announced the dissolution of Congress and the “take over” of the court system. The people are rioting!!

Peru is the third largest country in South America, population 34 million. The country has a 1500-mile coastline. That is the same distance as from Cape Cod, MA. to Miami, Fla.!! Lima is the capital, and the country has a GDP of $213 billion, (51st in the world). The average annual income is $6,700 per capita.
Peru is a world’s second largest producers of copper; Las Bambas is one of the largest copper mines which is owned by the Chinese. Illegal immigrants work the mines.
Peru also ranks second in the world in the production of cocaine.

Castillo was elected president in July 2021. Prior to his election, he taught grade school in a rural area of Peru and served as a union leader. He had no previous political experience. A far-left coalition of groups got him elected. Sound familiar! He is a disaster and perhaps a criminal.
Far left groups, illegal miners and drug traffickers are pushing the country’s radical agenda, very similar to Venezuela. The citizens revolted which led to large, country-wide protests and violence. Airports were burned, courthouses destroyed, roads were blocked, police stations were vandalized, and dozens of people were shot by security forces. Castillo was arrested and later impeached.
The leftist groups in Peru want to “tear up” the current constitution, especially the pro market chapter. That would be a huge mistake. The country is more divided today than in the violent times in 1980’s. So, as of today, the country has no democratically elected president, just a dangerous coalition of radical, left-leaning groups.
The Super Bowl Halftime Show was aggressively promoted and hyped. The star was Rihanna Fenty, a huge hip hop star with many top hits and a net worth of $1 billion. Her show lasted 13 minutes, seemed longer! It was her first live performance in 7 years.
She sang aboard cabled platforms above the football field. That was dramatic at the start but got monotonous halfway through the performance. She lip-synched the performance, and you could tell, and didn’t really dance much, grabbed her crouch, patted her pregnant belly several times, and applied her own brand of make-up during the show. The vocals were hard to hear and background music score seemed similar for every song.
She was dressed in a red 3XL Hazmat suit slightly open in the front to show her plastic boobs and baby bump. She was accompanied by troops of large white Energizer bunnies in white fluffy coveralls. It was hard to tell the sex of the bunnies, but it appears each was wearing a white sport bra. See photo above! The bunnies had dance moves, mostly their legs, and the synchronization was good. If the show had great theatrical significance, it was lost on me. I flat, did not “get” the performance.
Guess you can tell I did not like the show!! Very disappointed. Over the years, I have seen much better shows. But the media will not criticize a pregnant, Black woman. Next year I’d like to see a great rock band or a country star.
PS- Rihanna was “forced” to perform from cabled platforms due to poor field conditions for football. The NFL can’t get anything right!!!!
