High Truths and Low Lies

The Super Bowl Halftime Show was aggressively promoted and hyped. The star was Rihanna Fenty, a huge hip hop star with many top hits and a net worth of $1 billion. Her show lasted 13 minutes, seemed longer! It was her first live performance in 7 years.

She sang aboard cabled platforms above the football field. That was dramatic at the start but got monotonous halfway through the performance. She lip-synched the performance, and you could tell, and didn’t really dance much, grabbed her crouch, patted her pregnant belly several times, and applied her own brand of make-up during the show. The vocals were hard to hear and background music score seemed similar for every song.

She was dressed in a red 3XL Hazmat suit slightly open in the front to show her plastic boobs and baby bump. She was accompanied by troops of large white Energizer bunnies in white fluffy coveralls. It was hard to tell the sex of the bunnies, but it appears each was wearing a white sport bra. See photo above! The bunnies had dance moves, mostly their legs, and the synchronization was good. If the show had great theatrical significance, it was lost on me. I flat, did not “get” the performance.

Guess you can tell I did not like the show!! Very disappointed. Over the years, I have seen much better shows. But the media will not criticize a pregnant, Black woman. Next year I’d like to see a great rock band or a country star.

PS- Rihanna was “forced” to perform from cabled platforms due to poor field conditions for football. The NFL can’t get anything right!!!!

-China sent a spy balloon over the US. traveling from Alaska to the Carolina Coast. After a week of gathering data, the balloon flew over the ocean and US. jets shot it down. What took so long! Guess the Commander and Chief was busy dealing with racial justice and terrorist parents.

-Biden delivered the State of the Union Address on Tuesday. The TV audience was at a 30 year low. Biden lied throughout the speech and completely avoided major concerns of Americans. No comments or plans on crime, southern border, recession, inflation, food prices, war spending in the Ukraine, and National debt. He also viciously attacked Republicans and made false claims regarding their platform. He was not patriotic, nor upbeat. He is the worse US. President in modern times. Our local paper, The Charlotte Fishwrap, ran a headline saying Biden’s speech was a call for unity. Fools!

-Govenor Huckabee was correct. Our political system has two parties, the Normal and the Crazy.

-No truthful answers on the Pelosi attack. The video was bizarre. It’s been 4 months. The October timing seems consistent with attempts to influence voters.

-The “Squad” displayed childish behavior on the floor of Congress. Tantrums are not good for the US. Members of that group are ignorant and dangerous. All show

Nicole Hannah-Jones, shown below, is an angry, Black, racial injustice activist. She criticized inner city drug stores for installing cages in their stores to prevent shoplifting. The looting has been so bad that many stores just closed!!!! UNC-CH was right not granting her tenure. She is a shit stirrer.

-It is quite obvious that Twitter acted against the Republican party in the 2020 National election. The FBI told them what groups to censure, almost entirely Conservative, and to withhold information about the corrupt Biden family. Chief executives at Twitter called the Republicans Nazis. This matters because Twitter has 367,000,000 active daily users.

—–Biden’s Federal agencies misspent $191 billion in Covid aid. That was the report from the Inspector General of the US. Dept. of Labor. Congressional leaders have called this “the greatest theft of taxpayers money in American history.” Corruption, criminal acts and fraud were cited in the reported loss.

LeBron James has scored 38,390 points in his NBA career of 20 years. He set a new record this week. The old record was held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Lastly, the NC House of Representatives voted to move forward with the “Parents Bill of Rights.” The bill requires that parents must be included when the schools are surveying students on issues like gender transformation. Parents have recently (Covid) learned a lot about what the hell is actually happening in school classrooms and with curriculums. Parents have always had these rights. Friends-do we really want a recently graduated 23-year-old third grade teacher lecturing students on gender transforming surgery. I say teach math, science and reading/writing. NC is ranked 37th in the US. in education!!!!!!!

Last week the country of Pakistan lost power. It’s electrical power grid failed. Pakistan has a population of 235,000,000 people. No lights, refrigeration, motors, medical equipment, streetlights, heating, traffic signals, etc. No word on the cause.

Britain’s inflation rate is 10.5%. Food prices are up 16.7% over the last 12 months. Most unions in England are now on strike. Also in Britain, the car battery company Britishvolt filed for bankruptcy. Three years ago, the government funded the company as part of the “green industry.” Now officials and executives are expressing doubt about the viability of making batteries for electric cars.

Nine million young men in the US. are not participating in the labor market. Most are at home videogaming. This is a major cause of the labor shortage. And-when men don’t work while young, they don’t work when they get older. Huge problem. Stopping the “free stuff” is the answer.

In my home city, high school girls wear pajama pants to school. Just let that sink in!

Whole Foods won its court case brought by 3 ex-employees who claimed discrimination. All three were fired for wearing Black Lives Matter face masks while working. The store has a dress code that prohibits slogans on clothes. Frivolous!

Biden can’t do anything right. Nice car next to boxes of classified documents.

Microsoft is investing $10 billion in OpenAI the company behind “chatgpt.” This technology will let users query robotic website to get language spoken answers. Kinda of like Siri but much more advanced. This will change/eliminate many low skilled jobs.

Universal basic-income (UBI’s) schemes are popping up in the liberal states and cities. In Chicago, checks for $500 will go to people making less than $69,000 per year. The checks are monthly and will continue for at least 2 years. A horrible policy!

Cori Bush is an ignorant fool. She is a Congresswoman from St. Louis, (a very dangerous city- 356 murders last year) and recently blamed white supremacy for the tragic death of Tyre Nichols. The chief of police in Memphis is a Black woman. Blame her!!!

Steph Curry (NBA) is a fraud! He claims to be a liberal and supports Biden but made some major moves to block low-income housing from being built near his $30 million California mansion.

Lastly, Kevin McCarthy is the new Speaker of the House. I support him! This week he said the biggest threat to America is our National Debt, now standing at $31 trillion. I totally agree.

Our local newspaper, “The Charlotte Fishwrap,” recently ran an article about low-income mothers. The author spelled out all the problems low-income mothers face, including low paying jobs, childcare, medical costs, and especially lack of “support” from the state/county.

If an uneducated, unskilled, unmarried, young mother is struggling to support her kids, then according to this author, it is the state’s fault. He says, “low-income mothers have been placed in an untenable position” by the State of NC.

Nowhere in the article does the author place blame on the mother, nor responsibility. The author says the State must provide higher wages, child tax credits, food stamps, Medicaid/universal medical insurance, childcare, family leave, and unemployment benefits to mothers. And this does not count Biden’s Stimulus payments and rent payment moratoriums.

I do not agree! If the State of NC provided all of those services, mothers would not work. They would “net” more income staying at home.

Family planning, family structure, parenting skills, and education are the answers. Read just one essay from James Heckman, Nobel Prize Economist. Low-income mothers are mostly Black and living without husbands and the husband’s income. Just having dual incomes per family would solve many of these problems.

Education of women is an excellent long-term solution. See below.

I believe this chart is a very good summary. The State of NC should put support $$$$’s toward the education of low-income women. Help young women avoid pregnancy, graduate high school, learn a skill or trade, choose life partners carefully, and live healthy lives. This is possible! It just requires education and learning.

I watched a lot of football over the weekend. Playoff games! Ate wings and drank Truly!

Could not help to notice the various messages of the back of player helmets. I think the NFL should stop messaging. But, if it continues, here are some of my suggestions:
